Candy Kittens — Gourmet Vegan Sweets, Made for Adults

Candy Kittens began in London in 2012, when Jamie Laing — then on Made in Chelsea, and the great-great-grandson of the man who created the McVitie's digestive — teamed up with co-founder Ed Williams on a simple idea: make a sweet for grown-ups that looked as good as it tasted. The first shop opened on the King's Road and the cat-shaped gourmet sweets soon landed in Selfridges. After two years of development the pair turned the whole range vegan, swapping animal gelatine for plant-based ingredients, and in 2022 Candy Kittens became one of the first B Corp certified sweets brands in the country.

That mix of premium positioning, a genuinely grown-up flavour set and full vegan credentials has made Candy Kittens one of the standout British confectionery success stories of the last decade — a brand that sits as comfortably in a gift basket as it does on a pick and mix wall.

Sweet and Glory stocks the Candy Kittens range wholesale for UK retailers.

The Candy Kittens Range

The core range is built around the 140g resealable sharing bags, which drive most of the brand's retail sales, available in Wild Strawberry, Very Cherry, Sour Watermelon, Eton Mess, Shox Sour, Wanderlust and Loves. Smaller 54g bags cover the single-serve and grab-and-go end in Wild Strawberry, Sour Watermelon and Eton Mess, sitting well at the till or in meal-deal fixtures. Every line is vegan and gelatine-free.

Why Stock Candy Kittens?

Candy Kittens gives a sweet shop, farm shop or online retailer something most of the fixture doesn't: a premium, plant-based sweet aimed squarely at adults. Demand for vegan confectionery keeps growing, and Candy Kittens is the name most customers already associate with it — a recognised brand backed by years of television and social media profile. The 140g sharing bags work as a gift and treat line alongside cards and hampers, while the 54g bags cover grab-and-go. For a shop built around American imports, it's an easy way to broaden the range with a home-grown brand that brings a different customer through the door.
